This is a private, non profit organization which is funded by the California Office of Family Planning. Services are provided by a combination of professional and paraprofessional staff. The agency is close to public transportation and is wheelchair accessible.
The clinic provides reproductive health care and screening services to teens and adult women. The Torrance clinic is located on the grounds of the Los Angeles County/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. The services include complete gynecological exams, family planning information, birth control menthods, pregnancy testing and counseling, comprehensive prenatal care, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections referrals for infertility treatment, sterilization and classes in natural family planning and fertility awareness.
The Compton Clinic is located with the REI/WIC Project in the Compton Neighborhood Center. Services include birth control assistance, breast exams, pregnancy testing, counseling, information and referrals.
Fees for most services are based on ability to pay (sliding scale). We gladly accept MEDI-CAL.
The Torrance clinic is open:
Monday and Wednesday, 8:30 am to 6:30 PM
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 am to 3:30 PM
Friday, 8:30 am to 1:30 PM.
The Compton clinic is open:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 am to 12:00 noon
Tuesday, 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM

WOMEN'S HEALTH CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER PROGRAM.
The Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program prepares Registered Nurses to provide primary ambulatory health care services to women of all ages. The curriculum focuses on family planning concepts, assessment and management of common obstetrical gynecological, and episodic health problems of women. The curriculum is taught by qualified nurse practitioners and medical school faculty. The instructor-student ratio is 1:4 in the clinic practice setting.

ADULT PRIMARY CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER PROGRAM.
EXPAND YOUR SCOPE OF PRACTICE!
This course is a continuing education sequence designed to prepare obstetric -gynecologic/women's health nurse practitioners to provide expanded primary health care to multi-ethnic adults. The didactic portion consists of a total of six weeks divided into two three week phases, each followed by a four month (16 week) preceptorship (minimum hours in preceptorship is 576). The didactic phases will be completed at the Harbor/UCLA Nurse Practitioner Program in Torrance, California. The preceptorship will be arranged and completed by the participant in their home community.
